Welcome to Threshold Social. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Threshold Social website, membership programs, events, and services (“Services”). By accessing or using our website or Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Threshold Social (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is a community-rooted wellness collective created to support Black professionals, practitioners, creatives, and changemakers through connection, care, and culturally responsive experiences.

By using our Services, you confirm that:
You are at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian
You are able to enter into a legally binding agreement
You will use our Services in a respectful and lawful manner

Threshold Social offers different membership pathways, including but not limited to:
General Membership
Founding Membership
Membership benefits, pricing, and eligibility requirements are outlined on the website and may change over time.
b. Membership Responsibilities
Members agree to:
Provide accurate and truthful information
Respect community guidelines and shared values
Engage with others in a manner that is affirming, respectful, and non-harmful
We reserve the right to suspend or revoke membership if these standards are violated.

Threshold Social is a values-led community. By participating, you agree to:
Treat others with dignity, respect, and care
Avoid harassment, discrimination, or harmful behavior
Respect confidentiality within peer support spaces
Refrain from sharing private or sensitive information without consent
We reserve the right to remove content, restrict access, or revoke participation to protect the safety and integrity of the community.

Events may be virtual, in-person, or hybrid
Details, schedules, and facilitators may change as needed
Some events may have limited capacity or eligibility requirements
Threshold Social reserves the right to cancel, reschedule, or modify events when necessary.

Threshold Social provides community-based support, wellness programming, and healing-centered spaces. Our Services:
Do not replace therapy, medical care, or emergency services
Are not a substitute for professional mental health treatment
If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, please seek immediate professional help or local emergency services.

Membership fees, event fees, and donations are processed through secure third-party providers
Payments and donations are generally non-refundable, unless otherwise stated
Donation funds support Threshold Social’s programs and community initiatives
Any exceptions or refunds are at our discretion and will be communicated clearly where applicable.

All content on this website — including text, logos, graphics, images, and materials — is the property of Threshold Social or its content partners and is protected by intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or use our content without written permission.

You grant Threshold Social permission to use, display, and share the content for community and promotional purposes

Losses resulting from participation in events or community spaces
Reliance on information shared by other members or facilitators
Participation is voluntary and at your own discretion.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Before filing any legal action, you agree to first contact us at info@thresholdsocial.org to attempt to resolve the dispute informally
Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Richmond, Virginia, in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
Exceptions: Either party may seek injunctive relief in court for violations of intellectual property rights or confidentiality obligations.

By attending events, you consent to being photographed or recorded unless you:
Notify us of your preference to opt out
Request that specific images be removed

You will not receive compensation for the use of your image or likeness.
We will not include identifying information (names, credentials) in public-facing media without explicit permission.
