Threshold Social is a private, social wellness club built for Black professionals who lead in care. Mental health practitioners, creatives, entrepreneurs, and change-makers all have a place here. We know the weight of responsibility, the need for rest, and the desire for community that truly understands. That is why we built Threshold: a space to pause, recharge, and connect without judgment.
Our Why
Our work matters, but so do we. Too often, professionals in demanding roles pour themselves into others while forgetting to fill their own cups. Threshold Social exists to reverse that cycle. We create intentional experiences where wellness, joy, and Black excellence are central. Here, you can breathe, be held, and be seen.
Founded By
Threshold Social was founded by Chiara Dawn Shelton, LCSW, a mental health professional who knows the importance of safe, restorative community firsthand. Chiara envisioned a space where Black professionals could gather to replenish energy, share stories, and grow together both personally and professionally.
What We Are Building
We are more than a club. Threshold Social is a curated experience. Members will enjoy:
